Olympic Port, with its twin towers, built to coincide with the ’92 Olympic Games which set-up a dramatic reshaping of the city’s waterfront. Olympics event contributed to the city’s architectural treasure. One of Barcelona’s most outstanding buildings Palau Sant Jordi covered sports complex by Arata Isozaki and outside a series of sculptures by Aiko Miyawaki, a delicate ensemble of 36 concrete cylinders topped by metal rings and steel cables that gleam at night. The area is now one of the most fashionable with its 3-4 km of promenade and clean beaches. The copper sculpture 'El Peix d'Or' or 'The Golden Fish' by Frank Gehry has become the emblem of the port.
