A brief visit at Metz (Lorraine, France) in the south of Luxembourg, north-east France to see another example of the “Bilbao Effect” born from the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, designed by Frank O. Gehry. Centre Pompidou-Metz by Shigeru Ban Architects is a sculptural architecture in an internationally unknown city to promote tourism. It is inspired from traditional Chinese Bambu buildings with 18 km long wooden axes that intersect and hold a 8.000 m² wide white membrane. Inside there are about 700 works excellence of art belonging to Picasso, Matisse, Braque, Chagal and Mirò presented on a 18 metre high glass wall.
